About Champlin Media Management
Chuck Champlin
Champlin Media Management was founded by Chuck Champlin in 2006 as the culmination of 30 years managing writing and media choices at the Los Angeles Times, Walt Disney Company, Epson America, Sanwa Bank, in public education and at the University of California.

His experience includes media placements with print, TV and radio; writing and editing for brochures, newsletters, video and the Web; nationwide conferences; direct mail programs; crisis communications; speechwriting and public speaking. At the Los Angeles Times, Chuck edited and published thousands of articles and special newspaper sections, as well as authored stories on entertainment, people and technology.

At The Walt Disney Company, Chuck was part of the worldwide communications team for Disney Corporate Communications and Disney Consumer Products.  He created an award-winning, global newsletter for company employees; managed Disney Children's Summit at Disneyland Paris; established global electronic news communication for Disney employees; wrote and produced presentation for business and employee events.  Chuck was Consumer Products' spokesperson to the media.


Lesley Powles
Lesley Powles is the Web, Ecommerce and Project Management part of the Champlin Media Management equation.  She joined CMM in 2009 following 10 years in the software industry, specializing in ecommerce, and 15 years in financial services information systems and project management. 

Lesley has managed all aspects of ecommerce, from marketing and merchandizing to payment processing and fulfillment logistics, and all the day-to-day stuff in between.  She established an ecommerce presence for Autodesk, Inc. in Europe in 2000, when online sales there were in their infancy, creating 14 localized-country sites; developed an affiliate marketing program for the online stores; conducted SEM and SEO activities; initiated ground-breaking programs for software renewals online and continues to be an evangelist for the potential of online marketing and sales.  Based on usability studies and site analytics, Lesley has experience initiating and implementing site optimizations and redesigns to deliver customer-focused design and functionality.


Prior to Autodesk, Lesley was a vice president in Information Systems at Wells Fargo Bank where she held a succession of management roles in project management, operations support, technical support and 24/7 data center management. She brings a common-sense business acumen and an understanding of systems infrastructure to her consulting and project management roles.
